General Rules And Guidelines
Everything
under this category is common knowledge and should be known well.
Anyone breaking rules in this section is subject to disciplinary action
by the staff.
The Endless Adventures is an all species RPG. We try to allow as much freedom without breaking too many barriers, and we love to see creativity turn into something unique.
1. When creating your character please leave the
form in its current format. We have set it up in such a way to keep all
the biographies uniformed, and so that it is simple for others to find
information about your character.
2. Please do not post in character until a staff member has reviewed and accepted your biography.
4. Basic rules of realistic, advanced
roleplays apply. No desperatism, no god-modding, and no power-playing
without the permission of the character’s owner. You cannot be mates
with your own character.
5. Literacy is required. This means
proper grammar, writing out numbers, correct spelling, and good content.
Please bold all speech and italicize thoughts. Coloring speech and thoughts is not a substitute to this rule.
- Account Rules -
We ask that you set up some simple things on your account to make roleplaying easier for the rest of us.
1. Please have your account name as the name of your character. Capitalize the first letter and include no extra symbols. If possible, make your username DIFFERENT to your display name.
3.
Signature images may be no larger than 500 x 200 pixels. Advertising
banners are not allowed.
4. Please keep your avatar image 150 x 150 pixels
with a 1px border around the edge. If the image you wish to use is not
already this size, a staff member or certain other members will be happy
to do so for you. We ask that you only have pictures of things relevant to this RPG.
5. Please include your Characters name, species , age and gender in your signature. This is so we do not have to
continually refer back to your biography to post anything about your
character. If you have multiple characters, add them too.
6. When posting, also add your characters bio to the first post in BRACKETS. This is because you may have multiple characters.
We have no word-count that way people of all levels may try us out. Though we ask you at least try and incorporate about four to
five sentences and mirror everyone else. It can be a real muse drainer to get a five sentence reply to a five paragraph post. Post scripts, or tables, are allowed, but do not exceed the mandated board width of 650 pixels.
Quality over quantity. Focus on elaborating and describing, but make sure you do it literately. If you have a 1000 word post of
just pointless rambling it can disguise the parts that were meant to be noticed.
If ever you feel the need to take care of something with another member, or you just have a general need, do not hesitate to post in the help and concern boards, or to message an administrator. Certain things may even be asked and answered within the Live Chatbox. Most threads may take some time depending on length, so liquid time is definitely allowable. Please, do NOT make any OOC posts on a board. If you need to be ooc use brackets ( ) around your ooc bit.
While we have no character limit, do not take on more than you can handle. It is always better to have three or four amazing, creative characters than ten characters you hardly know.
Please, though this should go without saying, do not advertise your site in the Live Chat Box, over PM systems, or anything other than our advertising board.
This site is PG-13, all of our main boards, and everything will remain to be so. It is like this to comply with the Proboards T's and C's
Wolf, Cat, Other Species Fighting
Because we are a multi-species RPG, there have to be rules set down for fighting.
If you need a fight judged, pack challenges, rank challenges, and mate
challenges will always be judged unless you just know who the winner is.
Time limits include 3 days in between posts for Pack, rank, mate,
or dominance challenges. Death Matches get 5 days in between posts.
No powerplaying, god-moding, mary-sueing blah blah blah, you know that rule by now.
As far as fights go, make sure your wolf isn't perfect.
It will
get hurt. That's why it is called fighting. However, you may very easily
be able to find counters, evade, when it is realistic, and find various
other things. Fights are meant to be fun and relaxed.
If you do not respond to an attack made by the other character,
they can assume it was landed and damage was inflicted. You must comply.
No editing fight posts.
If there is an edit at all and you do not
specify something such as "Edited to add fight counter" or anything
like that, the fight is defaulted and you lose for cheating.
In every single post you have to redo your defenses. You need
to specify in every round what they are doing to protect themselves.
They do not carry over to your new post.
Judges are like referees. Don't argue with them.
They are trained
well and their word is final. If you truly feel as though you need a
re-judge, PM the admin account, and give a really good reason.
You should know by now that you can't just auto-kill someone's
character. You have to actually have permission or be in a death match.
Death matches have to be approved by both parties.
Unless, the player
plays on the Realistic setting. Then, you may Death match them at any
time.
The character being challenged will always be the character that get to decide the amount of rounds the fight last.
Challenges can be for
Dominance The male or female can be fought against and
dominated. They will then be subjugated to do whatever they were defying
you for. Any kind of dominance fight is 3 days per post and anywhere
from 1-4 rounds per fight.
Spar/Normal fight/Quarrel If you are just looking to
practice fighting or you are looking to settle an IC dispute, they would
fall under these. 3 days per post and 1-4 rounds per fight.
Mates If a male, or even female given the circumstance,
sees a female, or male, he or she wants they can fight to have them.
They may also have to beat the female or male into submission that they
claimed, because there is still the matter of free will. Couples may
fight together to defend their right to be together. 3 days per post and
1-5 rounds per fight.
Ownership Challenges If there is a female, male, whether
pup or adult, you want in your pack you may challenge a leader of
another pack to take them. You must be a Lead in the pack, an Heir, a
Beta, or the Alpha. The victor takes the character under their pack, and
the rest is up to them. They may also have to have the other beat into
submission, depending on their defiance, but anyone from the pack can do
this. It is a dominance war. 3 days per post and 1-5 rounds per fight.
Pack Challenges In the event your character becomes
ambitious and wishes to control a pack on the site. They can challenge
freely, provided they met all requirements.3 days per post and 3-7
rounds per fight.
Death Challenges In the off-chance you and another member
decide a death match between your characters is an option you need to
abide by the rules to go through with it. You can not back out. Your
character will be assumed dead. 5 days per post and 3-7 rounds per
fight.
